    am looking into getting a N64 from japan i have an australian N64 with the power supply am wondering if i could use the austrilan power supply in the N64 from japan so i don't need to use power converter am sorry if this question has been poorly worded.

    Yeah as long as you buy the right one for the region your in you wont have an issue.

    May I ask why? There are very few notable Japanese only N64 games and the good ones were ported to the Gamecube for release over here (Animal Crossing, Doshin the Giant) or released on the Wii Virtual Console (Custom Robo V2, Sin and Punishment).

    Just buy an Australian power supply. They're different voltages and since it's external it's the easiest and cheapest option.
