Julian Gregory Day aka Calender Man is a genius and a psychopath (like Hannibal Lecter) . His crimes always revolves around a holiday or event in the Gregorian
Calendar. According to
Doctor Hugo Strange, Calender Man suffers from schizotypal personality disorder.
In the comic books, Calendar Man makes his debut in The Long Halloween, a Batman story arch written by Jeph Loeb. In the comic, Batman is on the trail of a killer and gets help from Calendar Man while he is incarcerated at
Arkham Asylum. Within the comic, the relationship between Batman and Calendar Man is akin to the relationship between Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter in the film Slience of the Lambs.
The 'Batman: Arkham' Games
Calender Man himself does not appear in
Arkham Asylum, however, his cell can be found and provides the answer to one of the
Riddler puzzles. The cell is empty, with the walls being covered with the pages of calenders.
Calender Man's first full in-game appearance is in
Batman: Arkham City where
Two Face has imprisoned him beneath the
Arkham City courthouse. When visited on certain dates on the calender, Calender Man will describe to
Batman a murder he committed on that day.
