Great games, OK ports 2

Welcome to Silent Hill      Over the past few weeks, I have indulged myself in the crazy, dark, terrifying fiction of the Silent Hill franchise. I picked up the HD collection along with Homecoming and Downpour (my rebound from the mediocre Raccoon City). So this is an HD collection and I would rather focus my review of the ports rather than the games themselves. However, I just want to throw a few thoughts about the games before I get into the meat of my main review.      Silent Hill 2 and 3 ar...

A game full of potential brought down by terrible execution 3

Beware: you may not want to come back    Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is a strange game to say the least. First off it is nowhere near your traditional Resident Evil experience (whether you consider that as RE1 or RE4). This is a third person 4 player co op action game. Raccoon city had so much potential to be extremely unique and interesting and add some cool things to Resident Evils crazy fiction.  Not to mention it takes place in arguably the most famous Resident Evil location during...

In Earth's final days, Shepard has his final journey 0

Mass Effect 3 is an incredible game.  In fact, if you even "liked" Mass Effect 2, stop reading and go grab a copy of Mass Effect 3 right now and finish reading this later. For those of you who are still here, I will explain why this is one of the best story driven RPG's on the market. Everything rests on Shepards shoulders in Mass Effect 3         First off, I have no doubt that you NEED to play through Mass Effect 2 at least once before playing Mass Effect 3. Part of the appeal of these games i...

We do this job together or not at all 0

Payday: The Heist is a very interesting game.  It is practically a modded Left 4 Dead, sub in cops for zombies and add a few boatloads of cash plus some fine clown masks and you now have Payday: The Heist.  Just as Left 4 Dead, Payday is created for a multiplayer  experience, under NO circumstance should you buy this game thinking you will be playing alone.  Single player, this game is 2 stars, with even one friend raises that rating substantially.  I should also note there is no split screen co...

Dark Souls hates you. But you love Dark Souls 0

Why are you so mean to me Dark Souls? I give you so much of my time and all you do is throw me to the ground, kick me in the nuts not once but twice and wait for me to get back up so you can do it all over again. Believe it or not, this is why Dark Souls is such an amazing game.  The risk/reward and satisfaction is unmatched compared to any game on the market.  If you can suffer through the nasty swamps of Blighttown, or risk a valley filled with dragons, you might just love Dark Souls too......

Are you angry? Time to go play some Rage. 1

Rage is a first person shooter. It is NOT an rpg, if you are looking for an rpg stop reading now because this is not what you are looking for. However, if you are looking for a great looking first person shooter with fantastic shooting and pretty impressive A.I, Rage is all the rage (I apologize in advance).       Rage takes place in some future year 100 years later after some other future year, that is kind of as specific as it gets. In fact, Rage kinda has little to no story at all.  All ...

I don't buy fighting games. I bought Mortal Kombat 3

I have never been a big fan of fighting games.  I have played Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and can respect those games as great fighters but they never appealed to me.  However, I have always had a thing for the Mortal Kombat series and even with that said I haven't played any MK games in a very long time.  I can say with full confidence though that if you have lost touch with Mortal Kombat like I have it is safe to return because this is the best game in the series.Story: Yup...
