Its weird seeing modern FMV games, the video quality is way too high for its own good. In the 90's the quality often matched the game which seemed fitting.

That's some mighty high production values for an FMV game; looks straight up like a movie.

I do wonder how different the game can get though. Supposedly there are seven endings, but are they wildly different or just slight variations? Folks on Steam say the game is around an hour, and there's no option to fastforward or skip scenes that you've already scene; so it might get tiresome to try to get all endings. I can't imagine there are seven completely different playthroughs; maybe two or three with some variations in those..

Man, there are so many excruciatingly stupid decisions in this story I can't even begin to suspend disbelief. Like, when they pull up to the house, why doesn't he just run into the street yelling for help? We just saw there were cars and people milling about right outside the open gate. Is the dude REALLY going to shoot him in public? There were so many chances to escape it's ridiculous. And at the very beginning, why didn't he call the cops immediately? Ugh, it hurts my brain.

Please sir, I want some more FMVinny.

I this a spiritual successor to that Roy Dupuis FMV game they looked at a year or two ago? You know, the one with the super smooth car door motion.

I really hope you guys finish this. Some crazy shit happens.

Nothing like a surprise Films and 40s to wake up to! This actually is a pretty solid FMV game: much better filmmaking, production and acting than most. It's like a budget Black Mirror but still interesting.

I watched another quick look of this for five minutes because I wanted to see what they were doing this morning since I had never heard of this game. The fact that Jeff and Vinny were talking and discussing their choices is what made Giant Bomb's QL better. It never ceases to amaze me what people think is interesting about "their own take" on game when they have nothing to say.


I wonder how many variations there really are? Do the choices matter? If you let the girl take the car would she be in on the heist as well? ...it just might be worth buying the game to find out.

Weird. The new hire sounds just like Jeff.

Noticed the same thing as well. I'm like 85% sure they just dropped the free "Sedona" LUT (or other free iwltbap LUT) on all the footage and called it a day. It's extremely trendy and overused lately, an easy cheap way to fool people into thinking it looks "cinematic" but also very lazy.

Also, by how washed out the black bars and shadows look, it seems that they never fixed the image on the East office. The Contradiction videos had really weird color and contrast as well, so the footage on this one also does't look as intended in the actual game.

I love that we're getting Vinny and Jeff quick looks again. Kind of dig what I'm seeing here, even if it does seem a tad stupid in spots.

I love that FMV is a legit thing again.

Editing and cinematography is almost too good for this to be a FMV game. I need that crappiness.

Not all that taken by the story so far, but I'm interested to see where it goes after that final cut. Might get this one.

The sound mixing is a bit off, but god damn I've missed Vinny and Jeff QLs :)

Im really happy FMV games are making a comeback, this and The Bunker both seem pretty cool in their own way ^w^

I'm still hoping for a GBEast full playthrough of this! I played this on my Xbox but want to see the crews reactions.

Never thought I'd say this about a FMV game but this looks reaaaaally good. Kind of want to play it, but I kind of would also be okay just watching Vinny finish this himself.

Also holy shit a multiplayer FMV game would be amazing. Make it happen.
