Great showing from Nintendo. Actually showing 2019 games was a good way to go.

Way too much anime bullshit and not enough new games. However, the Banjo reveal was so well done and was a cute throwback to KKR's trailer. I've never played those games, but Banjo-Kazooie is exactly the kind of character I like to see in Smash. Unique look, fun mascot, historical appeal...it all checks out. I know a lot of folks grew up with the Banjo games, so you guys are probably as happy as I was with the K. Rool reveal last year. Great to see him!

I'm normally not much of a Zelda guy, but Link's Awakening seems very appealing. I love the art style (it's so good!), and the gameplay is doing more for me than I expected. Think I might pick this one up. Speaking of Gameboy remakes, how about a Mole Mania or DK '94 one? HMMM!?

Nintendo, we need to talk about Pikmin 4. This thing was teased as being far along several years ago, and we got clarification that the 3DS game was *not* Pikmin 4, but a different project all together. Where the hell is it? This is my top want, and every year it bums me out that we don't hear anything. If it's just Pikmin 3-style with better ground textures, I'd be content. Switch is showing its age in the graphics department, but a good game with good art direction can work wonders. I love the little macro world with vibrant fruit, strange bug-like creatures, and dewy leaves Pikmin conjures up. I really hope we hear more soon.

All in all, this e3 was very lackluster. Getting Mario Maker in a few weeks is definitely going to help, though.

In regards to Ben thinking that Spider-Man in Ultimate Alliance 3 sounded like a bad Tom Holland... that was clearly Miles Morales' Spider-Man, not Peter Parker's.

I thought it was a satisfying Direct. They showed off a lot of the games that haven't been as heavily showcased recently, had a lot of release dates, and I'm happy to hear of that Breath of the Wild sequel with early footage.

They really went all out with this one, lots of great stuff here! Also worth noting that shortly after this during the treehouse stream they announced that Mario Maker 2 will let you matchmake with friends with an update coming out "shortly after release". They just needed to be poked a little by the community.

The Flip Grip is a quality product.

I'm gping to be stupid and probably buy the witcher 3 on the switch. Which is totally the game of this generation.

@benpack Pokemon TD was one of the precursors to DotA auto chess back in the days of War3-TFT. Definitely worth checking out.

Dan thinks the second best Zelda game is the second worst, interesting! It has the best music and some of the coolest dungeons, and did I mention the best music.

You can tell Spider-Verse was pretty popular because a lot of people in the chat (including me) quickly chimed in to correct Ben lol.

Great to know they will make a follow up to BOTW. Hopefully, Zelda is playable this time around. And more COOKING. I'm all about cooking in that game.

If Dan thinks Conker is better than Banjo, I think he should replay Conker. I imagine his view of that game will change.

Some cool stuff here and there, but I felt like overall this year was a bit blah.

The Prime Trilogy has been leaked like 3 times now. Can they not just freaking announce it already?

Sorry for being negative but Giant Bomb west is in dire need of an audio engineer. It's embarrassingly bad and exhausting to listen to. Who could listen to this and think it's fine? I know you're doing your best but there's some honest feedback.

The Banjo reveal woke up my inner child, well, super young teenager lol, I was 13 when the first game came out, smiling ear to ear. I am beyond excited to see Banjo-Kazooie join the roster! :D

As awesome as that Collection of Mana thing is, $40 for a 3 game re-release, especially when one of them is a GB classic game, is maybe a bit too much.

Because lots of adults still eat happy meals, don't food shame people just because you can eat more than they can. Happy meals aren't just for kids.

As a fan of dat old school and JRPGs, this was the best Nintendo Direct yet. I've heard a lot of other people say the same: It feels like they were targetting me directly. I love Sony and Microsoft but they always go to broad to ever pull anything like that off, so it's cool to see Nintendo recognize this and have a Direct like this every now and then.

Two of them are just simple emulation jobs. I assume they are thinking some people will be willing to pay $40 for the Trials of Mana translation. I liked Secret of Mana a lot back in the 90s, but it's really difficult to justify paying $40 for a SNES game today.

They only showed it for a couple of seconds, but wow, I immediately thought Wolfenstein on the Switch looked rough as hell.
